I pride myself on the high-standard of care and services that I offer. I have a number of clients who have become more like family, and clients who consider me to be an integral member of their family. People will actually plan their vacations around my availability which, to me, is the ultimate compliment. 

 

I keep up on my education to make sure that your pets remain as safe as possible while in my care.  Thankfully, I've never had to use it, but I am certified in Pet CPR and First Aid.

I am a Fear Free Certified Pet Sitter. What is Fear Free®?  Founded by “America’s Veterinarian,” Dr. Marty Becker, and developed by hundreds of experts in behavior, medicine, and handling, Fear Free has become one of the single most transformative initiatives in the history of companion animal practice.  The programs and courses provide veterinary professionals, pet professionals, animal welfare communities, and pet owners with the knowledge and tools to look after both a pet’s physical and emotional wellbeing.  

 

I get you. Like you, I love pets like family and want what is best for them. I feel empowered to relieve the fear, anxiety, and stress of every animal, every stay, every interaction; regardless of whether we’re meeting for the first time or have an ongoing relationship. I serve animals under my care in a calm, low stress environment as I provide for their daily needs and deliver any needed home husbandry or medical care that’s required, while minimizing fear, anxiety, or stress in animals, their guardians and in myself.

I strive to learn more from the Pet Sitters International community and it's publications.  I also have a small, local community of fellow Professional Pet Sitters that I can refer the potential client out to if I am already committed.

Of course, I've always been very passionate about animals and animal welfare.  Just ask my clients, I have a special way with animals, even the ones that would normally constantly bark at or hide from others.  I've volunteered for many shelters and rescues, and was even awarded "Volunteer of the Year" at the Humane Society of Silicon Valley.  

 

I was born in Canada and immigrated to California in 1998. I never had human children of my own, I'm dog mom to two rescues, Coco and Casper.  Animals are my babies.

I worked in the hospitality industry (fine dining) for almost 30 years before becoming a Multisport Coach.  I myself became an "Ironman" in 2017, at the age of 49. The Ironman competition is a 2.4 mile open water swim, 112 mile bike ride, followed by a full marathon (26.2 miles).  There is no break in-between each discipline, no stopping for lunch. An Ironman covers 140.6 miles continuously.  I'm very proud to call myself an Ironman and I'm able to continue to help others achieve that goal remotely.

After the passing of my father, I had some time to reflect on life and what was important to me.  I decided to take a leap of faith and turn my passion for animals into my way of life.  I created Leanimal's Animals, became insured and bonded, and I'm able to provide my clean background check and stellar referrals to anyone that asks.  What was once a part-time, sporadic, almost hobby when I wasn't training triathletes is now Leanimal's Animals.  I service the Temecula, Murrieta and Winchester areas.
